J&B Heavy Haul is a family owned and operated asset-based carrier providing turnkey logistical solutions.

We specialize in over-dimensional moves ranging from single shipments, project cargo and entire plant moves. J&B’s wide range of equipment and experience enable us to customize a transportation solution for our clients. We service the civil, power, petrochemical and manufacturing markets.

J&B’s roots extend back to the stalwart Oklahoma trucking company Hodges Trucking and Hodges Heavy Haul. Our founder, Jack Hodges, was a heavy haul and rigging pioneer who started J&B in 2011.

EQUIPMENT

J&B has an array of equipment to best suit the transport and rigging needs of our customers. Whether it’s a small pallet forklift, transformer, dozer, train car or large distillation column, we have many different trailer types and configurations to allow us to safely transport your load throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. Our fleet consists of RGN trailers up to 85-ton axle setups, extendable step deck trailers up to 70-ton setups, a Landoll tilt deck trailer, 3 steerable dollies, a dual lane dolly, 13 lines of modular platform trailer (including a low loading bed), a 250-ton site trailer, jack stands, 300-ton hydraulic jack and slide system, prime movers, in-house pilot cars, and an in-house permit staff.

J&B in Northern Oklahoma

J&B Heavy Haul was hired to move a newly completed silo from the manufacturer to a local plant in Northern Oklahoma. Due to the length and diameter of the piece and the need for stability, we used 10 lines of our dual lane platform trailer to move the silo. Learn more about our service

50 Pieces of New Duct Work

We were awarded a job to move 50 pieces of new duct work, over the course of a year, from the fab shop to the local power plant. The pieces in this project were all oversized and our loaded dimensions ranged from 18’ tall to 34’ tall, from 14’ wide to over 40’ wide. The project required close coordination with the city, telephone, cable and power reps to ensure a safe trip for our drivers and the general public. Learn more about our service

Moving 3 Historical Pieces

The Oklahoma Railway Museum contacted us about moving three historical pieces from the local fairgrounds to their facility. Pictured left is the old locomotive that we moved along with a tender car and caboose. Learn more about our service

(3) 90,000-Gallon Vessels at Once

J&B Heavy Haul was hired to assist on a large project moving (6) 90,000-gallon storage vessels from El Paso, TX to Rock Rapids, IA. With the ability to move three vessels at once we significantly cut down the transit time for this project and were able to complete this move in a reduced time frame. Learn more about our service

Over 100 Jack and Slide Installations in the past 7 Years

J&B Heavy Haul rigging crew has the experience to tackle any challenge and has safely completed over 100 jack and slide installations in the past 7 years. From loading rail cars to trans-loading to our trailer, to set on the pad, we are your one-stop call. We handle all details of the job from identifying safe unloading spurs to permitting, cleaning the rail car, transport, rotation, and unloading of accessories. Learn more about our service
